Program Practices & Policies
Enrollment limits:
Virtual classes are limited to 8 students per section.
In-person classes are limited to 16 students per section.
Payment methods:
Preferred: Please go to the Store where you can enroll and pay using either PayPal or Stripe (which accepts credit cards from many international currencies). [An alternate payment portal may be found on the Home Page.]
Drop/refund policy:
If you wish to drop the class before the first session, I will issue a full refund if I receive your request via email by 12:00 noon the day before the 1st session. If you elect to drop after the first class, I will issue a refund for Sessions 2-8 if I receive your emailed request by 12:00 noon the day before the 2nd session. [No further refunds will be issued after this time.]
COVID-19 vaccine policy:
I completed my 2nd dose of the Moderna vaccine for COVID-19 on May 10, 2021. When in-person classes recommence, I will require that each student who attends E.E. be fully vaccinated (+2 weeks after the last dose).
Free speech zone:
While free speech is a core value in the U.S., it is clearly not meant to be absolute, and any students enrolled in E.E. will be expected to be sensitive to their fellow participants and refrain from comments criticizing others on the basis of gender, race, place of origin, or sexual orientation. I will also assume that despite any differences of political philosophy among the participants, we will embrace and acknowledge objectivity in any facts or news cited.
Verification for employers/other programs:
Epitome English can provide verification of successful participation in any class that students complete at a passing threshold. If a student attends all classes and completes all assignments, each class equates with 14 hours total.
